Best Practices
High Impact Package - HIP! QHP has teamed up with the National AIDS and STI Control Programme (NACP) and USAID funded SHARP (Strengthening HIV and AIDS Response Partnerships) Project to improve the quality of the continuum of care for HIV positive patients including Anti Retroviral Therapy (ART). This "High Impact Package" focuses on making facilities friendlier to the groups and people with the highest prevalence in Ghana. Read more about the Get HIP! Initiative
Quality Improvement Tools/Approaches QHP develops skills and improves systems from the subdistrict level up, applying best practices from successful quality interventions demonstrated in Ghana and elsewhere. At the same time QHP supports the GHS/MoH efforts to decentralize decision-making authority and increase access to services through promotion of a basic health services package. Better Ways to Collect Program Data Working together with the Ghana Health Service, through the Monitoring and Evaluation Working Group, all of the agencies supporting USAID's Strategic Objective 7: Improved Health Status for Ghanaians, reviewed their data needs and designed and introduced a simplified set of common quarterly reporting forms.
