Clinical Treatment Guidelines for the Management of TB-HIV Co-Infection in Ghana (700KB)
QHP worked with the National AIDS and STI Control Programme (NACP) and the National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP) to develop this guideline for Ghana, based largely on the WHO standards.

This document uses the WISN methodology in combination with other factors to outline the key staffing norms for all levels of health facility in Ghana. These staffing norms that are now in use in Ghana are still going through the process of finalization, but this document outlines the rationale for how they were derived.
This document outlines the responsibilities and synergies between the National AIDS and STI Control Programme and the National Tuberculosis Control Programme in Ghana. This policy will be followed by a clinical treatment guideline in late 2007 or early 2008.
Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (10 PDF Files)
These modules were designed for the IMCI training of health care workers in Ghana and were revised in 2005 to incorporate new guidance on the treatment of malaria.

This is module for use with the Technical Guidelines for Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (see below). It provides guidelines on how to do data analysis and represent dat for the 23 priority diseases in Ghana. It was produced with technical support from QHP.
Avian Influenza Case Study: Ghana (1.2 MB)
Documenting the planning, preparedness and implementation of surveillance for Avian Influenza in Ghana in this report aims to provide a "template" for best practice in West Africa. The steps taken in Ghana to prepare, monitor and eventually control avian influenza in the commercial bird farm population could prove useful to other countries.

Ministry of Health Directory of Standards, Policies and Guidelines (DRAFT) (119 KB, PDF File)
Adherence to standards is key to quality. To that end QHP has worked with the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service to develop a list of the existing standards, policies and guidelines as a central reference point. This list is regularly updated and provides a basis for understanding the regulatory framework in which health services are provided.
