QHP's work at Ridge Hospital was covered in a story in the Daily Graphic, Ghana's leading local daily newspaper, on 2 June 2009.
The article discusses the role of family planning, specifically long-acting and permanent methods, to assist Ghana's effort to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and meet the reproductive health needs of men and women in Ghana.
QHP is designed to provide evidence-based support to the Ghana Health Service and a range of private institutions to improve the quality of health services in 30 of Ghana's most deprived districts and in other areas identified as priorities including HIV and AIDS and malaria, thereby contributing to improved health among Ghanaians, particularly in the areas of reproductive and child health.
Accompanying the article is a photo of QHP's Director Richard Killian with Dr. Gloria Quansah-Asare, the Director of the Family Health Division of the Ghana Health Service. Both attended the launch of the family planning program at Ridge Hospital.
